PRESENT POSITION:

Physicist
Heliophysics Science Division
NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center

EDUCATION:

B.S., Physics, University of Toledo, 1960
M.S., Physics, Indiana University, 1962
Ph.D., Physics, Catholic University of America, 1972

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Dr. Fitzenreiter is primarily interested in space plasma research of the solar wind and Earth's magnetosphere. He is involved in the analysis of plasma electron measurements made in these regions. He has primary data processing responsibilities for the VEIS electron spectrometer and solar wind strahl sensor of the Solar Wind Experiment (SWE) on the WIND spacecraft. His WIND data analysis effort also includes development of specialized visualization software tools which are shared with the WIND/SWE science team.

EXPERIENCE:

1962 - present -- Physicist, NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center
